Rachel Knoll has caught a home burglar (twice), had Thanksgiving with strangers in the Alaskan Wilderness, holds the record for the most copies owned of the critically acclaimed film, Gigli, and filmed a car accident from the back of a motorcycle and survived to tell the tale.
She balances her time between working commercially in director, cinematographer, creative roles, and pursuing personal projects - most recently receiving a grant from the Jerome Foundation to direct a short film in Alaska. She holds with a master's degree from the school of design at the Royal College of Art in London, and has exhibited/screened work internationally.
Rachel’s filmmaking aesthetics are forged from a multidisciplinary background as an interaction designer and installation artist. Her understanding of emerging and developing technologies puts her in a unique position to blend innovative approaches with more traditional filmmaking.
