Korma of Afrocontigbo (African Contemporary Igbo) is a dancer and teacher who has adapted her studio from live performance and dance classes to virtual African contemporary dance classes. She’s met the challenges of our changing circumstances by using technology to engage with her local community while drawing participants from new parts of the world - getting people of different ages, ethnicities, and varying dance backgrounds come together to smile and move in their living rooms in the wake of COVID-19.

Stories in Place: Afrocontigbo was a part of a series commissioned of eight made-in-quarantine films from Staff Picked filmmakers that chronicle how small businesses are navigating a world in flux during the first weeks of the lockdown, concept to final in just 10 days.
