‘Powerplays’ was displayed in an exhibition format, with the written materials that informed the structure of the improv next to the film.
I wanted the audience to see the materials that informed the structure of the performances for a wider consideration of alternative ways to approach polical systems and discussions.
Character acting briefs:
In preparing for their role, each politician was given a brief that was a starting resource to their politicans platform, beliefs, and relations with their golf opponent.
Improv ‘scripts’:
Booklets containing information on the topics of the nine holes were given to the actors and displayed for the audience to see.
