Rachel Knoll is a US-based director of commercials, documentaries, and branded content. Her directing style is defined by emotionally-driven storytelling and innovative ways to capture stories. 

Rachel comes from an arts background, graduating with an MA in design interactions at The Royal College of Arts, followed by time spent at ad agencies, production companies, and post houses such as Vallee Duhamel, FCB Zürich and Olson. She developed a multi-faceted understanding of production, while living and working in the UK, US, Canada, and Switzerland.

Her work has been screened at festivals around the world including the London Short Film Festival, Rhode Island International Film Festival, American Documentary Film Festival, and Hill Country. Her projects have been featured by Booooooom, NoBudge, WIRED, VICE, It’s Nice That, The National Film Board of Canada, Adweek, Girls in Film, and Vimeo Staff Picks. Rachel was recently selected as 1 of 34 directors featured in SHOOT Magazine's 2020 New Director Showcase and a Jerome Grant recipient.
