This project takes sound samples from The Royal College of Art by recording while traveling up from the ground floor to the eighth floor in a vertical line.
Each floor of the building is drastically different in functon, atmosphere and diverse in occupants.
The verticle line of the recording is translated in to a new audio track, where the ground level is the begining and the top floor is the end.
The sound is then used in an interactive installation where a distance sensor rotated in the space on a 360 degree path creating sound based on the archecture of the space and human interaction.
The closer interference is to the sensor, the earlier the audio track is being played.
Through participant interaction with the distance sensor a unique new track is created.
